4 new COVID cases in AMC limits, 17, 364 vaccinated in last 24 hours in the city

Ahmedabad recorded four new COVID cases in the last 24 hours, continuing with the trend of recording COVID cases in the single digit. Four COVID patients were discharged while 17, 364 people were vaccinated in the city in the last 24 hours. Ahmedabad city was among the top five in the state to record the highest per day vaccination in the last 24 hours. No deaths were reported in the city due to the disease. Ahmedabad district recorded no new COVID cases or deaths.

Overall the state has recorded 10,078 deaths due to COVID so far.  The state recorded 23 new cases of the disease in the last 24 hours and zero fatalities. Gujarat has a recovery rate of 98.72%. The total number of active cases in the state stands at 186 of which eight are on ventilators. The highest number of per day cases was recorded in Vadodara Corporation that saw nine new cases.

Across the state 3.48 lakh, people were vaccinated in the last 24 hours of which the highest vaccination was done for those in the 18 to 45 age group. 1.6 lakh people in the age group were vaccinated with the first dose. The number of health workers or frontline workers who received the first dose of vaccine was one.
